The Transmutations is the solo neofolk project of London based musician Chris Renison; instigated to explore the sounds of instruments commonly associated with British folk music (accordions, violins etc) by use of uncommon techniques. The results are a blend of traditional British ballads, re-imagined for the terminally psychic and recently deceased, and instrumental pieces, made for convalescing dancing masters.
