Re: Promiscuous Monkeys Have Better Immunity

Seems pretty obvious from an evolutionary perspective. Individuals of species that have more frequent intimate contact are exposed to more diseases, so they need better immune systems. Specifically, those without extra-strong immune systems will tend to die early and so fail to breed at the same levels.

I hope no one is suggesting that for an individual to be promiscuous would boost their own immune system. That is exactly the reverse of the truth.
