Magick, Music and Ritual 14 - Firmament - Bilateral

Bilateral (Carbenia)

Structure, built alchemical. A shadow of the singular, just as Heaven reflects the Earth a mound of miracles to offer - a mind as deep as any water. Timid, I approach the other and I show her what I brought her, it's a world inside another, surely a miracle.

Out of Mister Rogers Neighborhood a ruckus. consult a guide or blind your eyes - on a magic carpet ride from Walgreens aisles, good golden Atlas came from a dream of mine and said to come again when I can stay a little longer, and stick around for Mister Rogers.

And so we ride the buttock of Babalon into orgasm. Breathe deeply be free my lover.

And as of the sun would set so streaks my subconscious into copper-colored waning sky and the deepening blue of the night. and as the Sun would rise, I'll awake in your eyes into golden morning light as I shrug away the night.

When faced with death my ego stands and shouts into an empty place I know that this is all there is and ever was. He hoped the world might come together if taken in and torn to pieces and fit into the shape of something better.

And as of the sun would set so streaks my subconscious into copper-colored waning sky and the deepening blue of the night. and as the Sun would rise, I'll awake in your eyes into golden morning light as I shrug away the night.

To all lower high mammals, I utter a remark: to hold your head higher. your spine will be straightened, your wallowing days in the mud sink far behind you. Your brains grow in size and might make you some money.

Magick, Music and Ritual 12 - Firmament - As One Watches The Rain

As One Watches The Rain (Carbenia)

As One Watches the Rain muses around particularly hermetic concepts of polarity and gender, and also brings into contemplation the slow genetic manipulation of literal sunlight over generations, as well as metaphorical light of Tipheretic consciousness over a period of enlightened thought.

Magick, Music and Ritual 11 - Firmament - Whatever

Whatever
(Carbenia)

“Whatever” is the first song released from the Firmament EP The Slow Progression From One End of the Spectrum to the Other, which is a concept EP of philosophical musings on subjects like hierarchy, depersonalization, hermetic gender and similar systems that the universe has in place as an organizational system … We break these down, and tell aesthetic-based stories that demonstrate this kind of interaction as we work our way through the truthfulness or truth-lessness of this kind of thought. Conceptually, it’s very experimental … It’s us working through this imperative human question in a way that reveals that life is really a “round” event, and not a linear one. Likewise, the set of songs here is pretty sonically experimental. We did a lot of playing around with frequencies generated by magnets, by fields that we made with different things (such as walkie-talkies and a tape recorder) and everyday objects placed into the music. The music also gets pretty experimental with its rhythmic and harmonic aspects, as an extension of things that we’ve seen other bands do with in the progressive rock genre.

“Whatever” came inspired through sessions of meditation and focus upon these subjects, and relates a cognitive dissonance that seems inherent in the theme of depersonalization.

Recorded 2015 by Firmament at rapnapnap studios, and Ecignificance studios (Drums).
