  Time Anti-Ecstasy Article Rebutted

Drugs Posted by <Xnoubis> on Friday June 02, @03:03PM
from the raver-madness dept.

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) has posted this response to the current //Time Magazine// cover story regarding the dangers of Ecstasy (MDMA). This is only the latest in a recent flurry of articles in the mainstream media trumpeting the supposed scientific evidence of the drug's harmfulness. In fact, the jury is still out on this issue. Science does not yet know whether Ecstasy use leads to long-term problems for recreational users. It's also important to keep in mind that much of what is sold as Ecstasy is actually something else, often something more dangerous.
